The requirements on schools are increasing all the time with regard to safeguarding and child protection. With frequent changes to statutory guidance and new requirements under the revised Ofsted framework, it is increasingly difficult to ensure your safeguarding provision is compliant.


The Safeguarding Audit Tool enables school leaders to self-assess their compliancy, identify good practice and plan improvements to the safeguarding provision in their setting.

The audit tool can be used to:

  • Assess, develop and implement policies, procedures and practice relating to safeguarding and child protection;

  • Evidence practice that is indicative of an embedded safeguarding culture

  • Provide practical solutions to develop and improve practice

  • Identify and implement robust and sustainable systems for keeping children safe.

Andrea Glynn is the founder and director of Schools Safeguarding Ltd; an organisation that provides safeguarding training, supervision and support to educational settings across the country.


Andrea has had a proven track record of working with schools, Local Authorities and Academy Trusts to improve safeguarding systems and practice. Andrea has worked in education for over 20 years in various pastoral and safeguarding roles. This first hand experience of dealing with the challenges and opportunities that schools face in safeguarding, ensures that Andrea has relevant, pragmatic and practical strategies to support schools.


Andrea currently designs and delivers innovative Designated Safeguarding Lead, Safer Recruitment, Supervision and School Safeguarding and Child Protection Training.
