Audit

The Subject Leaders Audit Tool has been developed by two former Ofsted Inspectors. It provides schools with the tools they need to audit and review the performance of their subject leaders.

You can use the Subject Leaders Audit Tool to:

​

  • Reflect on your leadership qualities and effectiveness

  • Develop best practice processes

  • Help to ensure that assessment procedures are robust, implemented consistently and moderated

  • Via best practice statements, help to ensure the curriculum reflects the best practice in teaching, learning and assessment. 

  • Ensure that developing literacy and numeracy is at the forefront of your department's work. 

  • Focus on key areas to ensure that your team is working effectively to improve teaching

  • Reflect on adherence  to the school's behaviour and safety policies

  • Help focus on day to day activities, as well as mid/long/term goals
